
Ohio Wesleyan University
Ohio Wesleyan University is also known as OWU according to AbbreviationFinder.org. It is a college national liberal arts that combines a curriculum, internationally focused on learning outside the campus and leadership opportunities to connect classroom theory with real – world experience. It is located in Delaware, Ohio, a small community just 20 miles from Columbus, one of the largest cities in the state and in the nation. Community
The academic community includes 140 full-time professors and some 1,830 students from 46 states and 43 countries. All full-time professors hold a Ph.D. degree. or its equivalent.
The Campus
The campus is 200 acres in length that includes 11 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. The new building, the Meek and Aquatic Recreation Center is LEED certified and uses geothermal wells to assist with heating and cooling.
One of the oldest residential centers on campus is the Stuyvesant Hall, which received a $ 14 million renovation in 2012 – 2013. It is also LEED certified. The dwellings feature traditional residence halls, themed dwelling, small living units, and fraternity houses.
The university’s Scientific Facilities include the State-of-the-art Schimmel / Conrades Science Center, two observatories, two nature reserves, a greenhouse, and a vast science library.
Art installations include the Chappelear Dramatic Center, which has two sections: Edgar Salón de Arte 2-D; Haycock 3-D Art Room; the Richard M. Ross Museum of Art; and three smaller exhibition spaces. The campus also includes the elegant Sanborn Hall, the center for Ohio Wesleyan’s extensive music programs. Perhaps the best-known performance space is the 1,100-seat Gray Chapel with its 4644-pipe Rexford Keller Memorial organ, one of only six Klais instruments in the United States.
Selby Stadium is the fourth largest Division III private property in the nation. It seats 9,100 spectators and is believed to be the oldest facility in the United States built to Olympic specifications, which remain in their original configuration.
University
It is a private and independent entity with mixed students, which teaches Bachelor of Arts. He is a member of the Association of Universities of the Great Lakes, the Obelin Group and five universities in Ohio, a consortium of institutions formed by the Kenyon College, Oberlin College, University of Wooster and Denison University.
73% of students who apply to the university are accepted and the university has a high ranking at the national level.
